Mission Statement

The mission of the Tennessee Medical Association Alliance is to partner with physicians to promote the good health of Tennessee and support the family of medicine.

About Us

The Tennessee Medical Association Alliance is a non-profit volunteer organization of physician spouses and physicians dedicated to improving the health of Tennesseans and providing support to our state's medical families through:
  • Educational programs
  • Community service
  • Legislative activities
  • Fundraising for medical education and research
Since 1928, the TMA Alliance has partnered with the Tennessee Medical Association to forge healthy communities. The membership is comprised of spouses of physicians, medical residents and medical students, as well as physicians. The TMA Alliance is a vital link in the network of 16 local Alliances throughout Tennessee and the American Medical Association (AMA) Alliance. This federation provides a unified voice on behalf of Tennessee's medical families to legislators and policy-makers. In areas where no local Alliance exists, TMA Alliance offers Membership-at-Large to connect physician spouses to the state and national organizations.
